The Irish model appeared on The Ray D'Arcy Show in Ireland over the weekend to chat about his experience in the CBB house which, of course, included falling in love with former Hollyoaks actress Stephanie.
It was controversial as she entered the house with a boyfriend, model Sam.
When asked if he understood how Sam may have felt, Jeremy replied: "100 per cent. If that was my girlfriend I'd be devastated. That's why I kind of got caught between a rock and a hard place. Of course, it was a stupid thing I've done, but again when you have those feelings for a girl, you can't go back on it because you wear your heart on your sleeve.
"If it was me, I'd be devastated. It was a weird series of events that happened. I can't really go back on it because at the moment we're working towards a relationship. We are both still single.
"Like I said, she's come out of a relationship in the house, basically, so there's no point jumping straight into it. Take two weeks, take a breather, see your friends and family. You need breathing space after that."
As for whether he believes you can't help who you fall for, he said: "You know everyone has your first love and you lose faith in monogamy and all that. I've kind of been that person. But the world works in mysterious ways. At the moment I really like the girl and I haven't liked someone that much in a long time, probably since the first girlfriend kind of thing, so I have to play it how I feel it. In the house, there's nothing you can do but keep developing feelings."
Jeremy said he'd spent eviction night with Stephanie, 22, who finished second, behind winner Scotty T. "We had the after party and I was trying to get her to mingle with her family but we went back for a few drinks and had a nice night together."
When asked if he'd spent the whole night, he joked: "I'm Irish, of course!"
