Gemma Collins has opened up about her fiery alter-ego, The G.C, admitting: "The diva's got to go!"

Throughout her time in the Celebrity Big Brother house viewers were confused as to whether they were seeing Gemma the reality star, Gemma the G.C or actual Gemma - the real version of herself.

And after the G.C saw Gemma in the middle of many confrontations in the house, the former TOWIE star has now surprisingly revealed she is planning on ditching her alter-ego for good.

Speaking to Rylan Clark-Neal, Gemma admitted: "I've watched some bits back and I really need to kill off the G.C. The girl is a bit of a nightmare, I can see where people are coming from. I've had a look back and I've gone, 'That's it. I'm going to go forward as Gemma.'

"I did have fun in the Big Brother house... but from this, I will become a better person Rylan. I can look at myself now and go, 'Dust yourself down, girl. That's not on, you can't behave like that. Pull yourself together and crack on.'"

Rylan then told Gemma that he knows she is a nice girl, but the G.C 'doesn't come across as a nice person', and the 35-year-old told him she knows that now.

"I would have loved to have got to the final, but I can now see why I didn't get there," Gemma claimed. "It's been an invaluable experience and I will take away so much. I can only flourish from this."

She added: "Rylan, I'm not ashamed to say I messed up, I went wrong and I shouldn't behave like that. I think when you know you've gone wrong somewhere, if people give you the opportunity to put it right, I will.

"It's been a learning curve, but I did actually have fun," she insisted. "There were highs and there were lows, but obviously, the diva has just got to go."

Gemma's comments come after she fell out of favour with viewers, after refusing to take part in some of the tasks during the house.

Housemates had also grown tired of the reality star, as Gemma had continually asked them to do things for her, like cook and make her tea, instead of doing it herself. At one point, Christopher Maloney revealed he was 'intimidated' by his housemate.

Christopher confessed: "She intimidates me. She has this thing about her. It really intimidates me. She has this aura about her. I don't want to come across weak but I would rather just do things than have the hassle. I'm trying my best, like."

Now, though, it seems like Gemma is keen to turn over a new leaf.

She reiterated the same sentiment during an interview on This Morning, where she said: "The GC is dead! I was like 'Oh my God, Gemma, no...' Obviously sometimes situations in the house were fraught and you know, you can't be perfect twenty-four hours a day and in the end, you forget the cameras are on you!

"One day in a month, everyone will have a bad day. I am not perfect, I will never be perfect, and from the experience I will take on board things that are not perfect about my personality."

Gemma will reunite with her housemates later tonight where Tiffany, Stephanie, John, Darren, Danniella and Scotty T will be going head-to-head to win Celebrity Big Brother.
