Stephanie Davis has claimed her relationship with Sam Reece had turned toxic before she fell for Celebrity Big Brother housemate Jeremy McConnell.

The former Hollyoaks actress has raised eyebrows and made headlines for kissing Jeremy in the house despite being in a relationship with model Sam for the past year.

But in a press conference task to air on tonight's episode, the 22-year-old claims her romance with Sam had turned toxic before she met Jeremy.

She adds they had already "lost the love."

Stephanie's comment may confuse some viewers as she'd entered the house saying Sam was the man she was going to marry and she missed him so much. She said: "I'm like a loyal dog to my boyfriend and he's the one I'm going to marry."

But that changed when her relationship with Jeremy turned from friends to something more than friends. They cuddled in bed, kissed, and shared I love yous before his eviction.

Steph's since said she knew she'd fall for Jeremy from the moment she met him on day one, while he's insisted their feelings are genuine and there's nothing showmance about their connection.

Sam, meanwhile, has yet to publicly comment on anything about Steph or Jez, other than to deny he's used the situation for publicity, and subtly hit back at the idea he didn't treat Stephanie well.

CBB airs tonight at 9pm on Channel 5
