Ibiza Weekender: Deano Bailey had 'no idea' ex Imogen Townley was returning

Ibiza Weekender star Deano Bailey has admitted he had 'no idea' his ex-girlfriend Imogen Townely would be joining him overseas.

In October last year, Deano confirmed he would be back for another season on the hit reality show, but little did he know his former flame Imogen would be following him out there.

Her late arrival had the new assistant head rep (yep, Deano and Jordan Davies are in charge this series!) surprised and feeling a little awkward, as he had already set his sights on one of the show's newcomer.

Oh, Deano!

This time round familiar faces Jordan, Deano and Imogen will be joined by a brand new team made up of Ellie, David and Amelia.

Getting to know the newbies, Deano took a shining to Ellie, but that soon turned problematic when his ex-girlfriend Imogen arrived.

He explained: "I had no idea Imogen was coming back. It was a bit scary when she turned up because I was just getting close to Ellie.

"It was scary because I didn't know how we were both going to react and it was awkward because me and Imogen hadn't really had the chat about us ending. Ibiza's not really the best place for that to happen."

Deano added: "Imogen took it well at first and put on a front that she didn't mind about me and Ellie. But then as soon as Imogen had a drink, it just sort of hit her and she lost it and her emotions came out."

Cue the drama...

Imogen and Deano had dated for several months after getting together on Ibiza Weekender last series.

The duo had seemed pretty smitten with each other and were often seen sharing loved-up selfies with their fans on social media. However, Imogen later hinted in July last year that she and Deano had split.

She had told fans she'd had a "lucky escape" and was feeling "better than ever." Deano, meanwhile, appeared to confirm the break up by telling a Twitter follower he was going to be 'single forever.'

Neither have openly spoken about their split since, but Imogen did recently tell Reveal it came as a shock to her.

She admitted she thought the pair would get back together, but things "spiralled out of control" instead. Could the pair have unfinished business?

Ibiza Weekender returns Sunday 7 February at 9pm on ITV2.
