Ibiza Weekender star Imogen Townley has admitted she was "very, very nervous" about coming face-to-face with her ex-beau Deano Bailey in the show's new series.

Last month, Ibiza Weekender fans breathed a sigh of relief as Imogen confirmed she would be returning to the ITV2 reality show. After her early exit last series and her split with Deano just months later, many wondered whether the starlet would be hanging up her holiday rep boots for good.

Luckily for us, she isn't. But Imogen has said it wasn't easy to reunite with Deano - especially as he'd already eyed up one of the newcomers!

Awkward, much?

Speaking ahead of Ibiza Weekender returning to our screens this weekend, Imogen recalled the moment she had to see Deano again.

"It was the first time we'd seen each other since we'd split up," she said. "It was hard. I was very, very nervous."

Imogen continued: "I wanted to bury the past and bury the hatchet with anyone I had drama with - like Jordan and Deano. I felt like I'd be able to enjoy the experience more if I didn't have enemies or stress."

Having said that, Deano didn't exactly make it easy for Imogen at first. She revealed not only had he been 'badmouthing' her to the rest of the reps, he'd actually been making a move on new girl Ellie.

"Before I went in there I thought the worst case scenario is if Deano's been badmouthing me and if he's getting with one of the girls," she admitted. "That could be really awkward."

She added: "I got there and both those things had happened, so I thought, 'Well it can't get any worse that this!'"

Imogen and Deano first got together while working together out in Ibiza and had seemed smitten on their return back home.

However, things sadly didn't work out for the pair and after several months of dating, Imogen hinted she and Deano had split in July last year. She told fans she had "never felt better" after having a "lucky escape."

Neither Deano or Imogen have gone into details of their break up since, but Imogen did recently tell Reveal things between the pair "spiralled out of control."

"It was one of those splits where I thought we'd get back together," she said. "But it spiralled out of control. We just couldn't work it out, but it was quite a shock for me..."

Ibiza Weekender returns Sunday 7 February at 9pm on ITV2.
