Vicky Pattison has described Celebrity Big Brother housemate Stephanie Davis as "needy" following her flirtations with Jeremy McConnell.

Viewers have watched Stephanie growing close with Jeremy over the past three weeks, sharing kisses and hugs and eventually exchanging 'I love yous' – despite Steph being in a relationship for a year with model Sam Reece.

Speaking to Daily Star Sunday, former Geordie Shore star Vicky said: "Steph is going to come out and be with Jez. I don't think she has any idea of how finished she is with Sam and it's clear she can't be on her own because she is needy."

Vicky is friends with Stephanie's model boyfriend Sam, and said last week he was feeling "confused" by the situation between Steph and Jez.

She told The Mirror: "We have been speaking. I spoke to [Sam] the other day and I just said 'I don't want to wade in, it's none of my business, but I hope you are alright. He just says he is keeping a dignified silence. He is very confused and doesn't know what to do."

Sam hasn't made any direct comment about Stephanie since 11 January, when he withdrew his support from her via Twitter but said the pair remained a couple.

Since then, he's dismissed the idea that he and Steph planned her flirtations for publicity, and that he is "fame hungry", but has not issued any official comment on the current status of their relationship.

Meanwhile, Jeremy was evicted from the house on Friday night. Appearing on ITV's This Morning today, he said: "I meant everything I said. I wasn't in there for a showmance. I followed my heart. I never went in there with an agenda to wreck people's lives, I followed my heart and stand by it.

"Obviously those circumstances, I wouldn't like to be in that situation. To Sam, I'm sorry the way it worked out."

CBB airs tonight at 9pm on Channel 5
