Louisa Lytton will still compete in The Jump - despite being taken to hospital following a dramatic fall during training.

Louisa is wearing a cast after suffering a torn ligament by her lower thumb, but a rep for the show tells Reveal that she will still be participating on Sunday's live show.

The former EastEnders actress fell during skiing training on Wednesday afternoon and was taken to hospital for tests.

A rep for the show tells us: "Louisa Lytton is to compete going forward in The Jump with a cast following x-rays yesterday. Louisa was taken to hospital after she lost control and fell during a warm up run at ski training. She was seen by a medic immediately and was then brought down the slope by Mountain Rescue. Louisa was taken for x-rays and a CT scan at Innsbruck hospital – nothing was fractured, just painful bruising.

"However, whilst there, Louisa mentioned the number of falls she's had while training and a thumb injury from last week. The results of the thumb x-ray are that she has a torn ligament by her lower thumb meaning she's in a cast for 4 weeks. After a lot of thinking overnight and a good day training, Louisa is determined to continue in The Jump as she will be able to compete in all events with her cast."

Louisa assured her followers on Twitter that despite the accident, she was still managing some seriously impressive leaps.

Sharing a photo of a high ski jump, Louisa wrote on Twitter: "Yes it's true I've been in hospital but today I managed this! It's gonna take more than a plaster cast to stop me!"

As reality shows go, this one definitely isn't for the faint hearted.

Before heading off to Austria with the rest of the daredevil Jump clan, Louisa revealed that she'd never even tried out skiing before, admitting: "It's a new challenge and I love a challenge, I have never skied before and I love an adventure!"

She's certainly ticked the 'challenge' and 'adventure' boxes...

Like fellow competitor TOWIE's James Argent, Louisa has found the gruelling training a huge challenge, telling fans: "From thumb to bum #TheJump. Is slowly trying to kill me off"

Those bushtucker trials sound tame in comparison to this, and we can't wait for the competition to kick off!
