Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has arrived in Barbados for best friend Kimberley Walsh's wedding and, after unpacking, she's done just what we would do: slip into a bikini and head to the beach!

The X Factor judge touched down on the Caribbean island on Thursday (28 January) and wasted no time in getting out the swimwear to bask in the sun.

Cheryl captioned her photo: "I could get used to this island life #Barbados #walshxscottwedding."

The 'Biology' singer is serving as a bridesmaid at former Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley's wedding to long-time boyfriend Justin Scott. Kimberley and Justin arrived in Barbados with their one-year-old son Bobby earlier this week.

Fellow Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts is believed to be another bridesmaid, while reports suggest Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding were not invited as the wedding is for family and very close friends only.

"Cheryl and Nicola are my bridesmaids, which is lovely. It'll be great to have them there with me after being friends for such a long time," Kimberley told us earlier this month.

"They were there when Justin and I got together, so they've always been around us. We've grown up together from when Nicola was 16, Cheryl was 19 and I was 20. We've literally grown into women together.

"We lived in each other's pockets for 12 years, it's quite intense. I've been so lucky to make friends for life. We've shared so many experiences and we've got so much depth to our friendship, that we're never going to lose that. Even if we go through phases where we're busy and we don't see each other, it'll never change that bond."
