Earlier this month, Katie vowed to be outspoken on the daytime talk show, after she was confirmed as a regular panellist. While she has hit the headlines for namechecking her ex Alex Reid, opening up about her overdose in her twenties and confessing she was wrong to post pictures of daughter Princess in heavy make-up, Katie has still been criticised by viewers.
Twitter users claimed Katie had been 'tame' and 'awkward' on the show, but showing her support for the former CBB winner, Vicky recently said she doesn't understand why everyone is giving Katie such a hard time.
Speaking to the Mail Online, Vicky said: "I'm not really sure why everyone's giving her such a hard time. The rule as a Loose Woman is to be strong, to be feisty, to have an opinion and to voice it, and she certainly does that!"
The Geordie favourite then added: "What I like about Katie is that you're guaranteed to get a headline off her. She's enjoying herself, so fair play to her."
Vicky has also graced the Loose Women panel, after making a guest appearance on the show a few weeks back. She was a hit and fans were quick to praise Vicky for her presenting efforts.
Others called for her to replace Katie and nab her weekly spot on the show, but Vicky has other ideas. She'd love to sit alongside Katie instead.
"Me and Katie bring the same thing to the show," she claimed. "If I was to sit on the panel with her, I'd certainly be excited by the prospect."
Vicky isn't the only one who is hoping to join Katie on Loose Women, as the 37-year-old's close pal Kerry Katona is eyeing up a panel return.
The Atomic Kitten singer previously worked on Loose Women over ten years ago, and has regularly returned as a guest on the show since. But now, Kerry is hoping to secure a spot alongside Katie and has teased: "I think me and Katie Price together would be TV gold."
According to The Daily Star, bosses at ITV are keen to 'add new faces to boost ratings.' And they believe Kerry could be a hit, if she was to open up about her 'troubled private life' on the show.
Kerry recently divorced from her third husband George Kay and chose to spill all on the breakdown of her marriage on Loose Women in November last year.
If she was to join the show again, her addition would come after producers recently trialled male panellists. Peter Andre and Craig Revel Horwood recently made their show debut, to offer a different perspective on the topics being discussed.
