We haven't seen the last of Mickey Miller! Actor Joe Swash has admitted that his character will return to EastEnders "one day".

Okay, so we're not sure if "one day" means in one month or 10 years time, but this is still great news for fans of the show, right?

Joe's character Mickey was last seen in the soap way back in 2011 for his brother Darren's wedding, but his exit didn't necessarily mean the end for his character.

Speaking to The Sun, Joe, who is currently dating former X Factor star Stacey Solomon, said: "One day I'd love to go back. I love the place. I'm still good friends with everyone up there. One day Mickey will be back."

In October, Joe exclusively told Reveal that he has got "undone business" at EastEnders, adding: "I'll be called Mickey until I die! I don't imagine there being a time where no one recognises me for being Mickey. I've got no problem with that. It's part of my acting history that I'm really proud of."

The I'm A Celebrity winner wouldn't be the first actor to make a return to the soap, in fact, it's almost tradition now for the most loved characters to waltz back on set and settle back in at the Queen Vic. Well, the ones that avoided being killed off, obviously.

Ross Kemp and Dame Barbara Windsor have both delighted fans with their characters' revival, and we reckon Joe would get a warm welcome too - and stir up some forgotten drama...

Feeling nostalgic for the Miller clan after all that? Well here they are arriving in Albert Square back in the day:
