TOWIE star Arg is competing in the third series of the Channel 4 winter sports show, and after admitting that it's the "toughest thing" he's ever done, his girlfriend and co-star Lydia Bright has now revealed that he's injured himself during training.
Speaking at the National Television Awards at London's O2 Arena, Lydia exclusively told Reveal: "He's doing really well but he's injured already. I don't think it's very bad, but to Arg it's like he thinks he needs amputation. It's not extreme but it's like the size of a massive golf ball on his knee.
"I'm hoping now he'll be a little more cautious. Hopefully now maybe he'll bubble wrap himself under his kit. I want him to come back a whole person."
With filming for TOWIE kicking off next month, Lydia revealed she will soon be joining Arg in Austria to cheer him on, and said she couldn't be more proud of him.
"I'm crossing my fingers that he stays in it for as long as possible," she continued. "I'm going out there next week so I'm really excited to see him. I'll be there just in time for the first live show and fingers crossed he doesn't go out first otherwise he'll be flying home with me.
"But I'm so proud and he's doing so well this year. He's smashing it."
Arg is taking part alongside the likes of Sid Owen, Sarah Harding, Dean Cain, Louisa Lytton, Brian McFadden and more. Davina Mccall will be back as host, and changes this year will see the celebs live together for the first time. The Jump will also air weekly instead of nightly.
