There's always rumours going around suggesting the former couple don't see eye-to-eye or even speak directly. Just last night, several publications noted that both Peter and Katie would be at the National Television Awards, predicting it could be "awkward" if they ran into each other.
Turns out it wouldn't be! Appearing on ITV's Lorraine today, Peter dismissed all the rumours by saying he has a good relationship with Katie these days.
When Lorraine Kelly told observed that life for Peter seemed "more calm and serene", he replied: "It is. It's really strange, even with things that have happened in the past, I mean, me and Kate are okay now.
"We see each other when we see each other with the kids. It's all nice and very civilised. We get on really well, which is excellent, so that just adds to the peace and serenity. And the kids are really happy and it's really nice."
Katie and Peter, who met in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle, split in 2009 after nearly four years of marriage. They have two children, son Junior, ten, and daughter Princess, eight.
Since then, both have remarried.
Peter is now wed to doctor Emily MacDonagh, the mother of his daughter Amelia, two, while Katie is married to stripper and plumber Kieran Hayler, who is dad to her son Jett, two, and daughter Bunny, one.
She's also mum to son Harvey, 13 from her relationship with former footballer Dwight Yorke.
The signs of an amicable relationship between the divorced couple were clear last year, when Katie threw her support behind Peter on Strictly Come Dancing, saying she predicted he'd do well as he was a great dancer.
