Rylan appeared on X Factor's ninth series in 2012 and was a memorable contestant thanks to his bubbly personality, entertaining performances during the live shows each week and that Spice Girls medley.

But, making a return to the show as a host would be a dream come true for him.

"My ultimate dream would be to present The X Factor," Rylan told The Sun. "I only left three years ago and to go from contestant to presenting would be a tick in my box."

But, Rylan won't be leaving Big Brother behind.

"I have no intention of leaving Big Brother anytime soon", said Rylan while explaining that X Factor auditions usually clash with the summer Big Brother.

He added: "This season of Celebrity Big Bother has already blown up. It's such a normal job for me but it never ceases to amaze me. It's been an explosive series."

After appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in January 2013 and going on to win the show, Rylan was offered a string of presenting deals, and now he has found himself nominated in the best TV Presenter category at the National Television Awards.

The last series of X Factor, which wrapped up in December, was presented by former Xtra Factor presenters Olly Murs and Caroline Flack. They replaced Dermot O'Leary who stepped down after eight years.
