Currently 12 celebrities are training at Jump Mountain high in the Austrian Alps for the Channel 4 winter sports show, where they will learn challenging new skills which they will have to apply on the slopes.
The 12 stars jetted out to Austria over the weekend, and a rep for the show has now confirmed to Reveal that Tom and Gemma have joined the group as standbys.
As previous years have shown, anything from an injury to a celebrity having second thoughts about competing could mean a standby is drafted in.
Tom and Gemma have been training with the 12 celebs, so if they are needed, they will be ready to step in and join the official line-up.
The pair have taken to social media to share photos of themselves on the slopes, and earlier posed for a group photo posted by TOWIE star James 'Arg' Argent.
The ladies taking part in the third series of The Jump are: Olympic gold medal winning swimmer Rebecca Adlington, Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, Olympic bronze medal winning gymnast Beth Tweddle, Holby City actress Tina Hobley, former EastEnders actress Louisa Lytton and original 'It Girl' and 'Girl About Town' Tamara Beckwith
Meanwhile, the men taking part are: Olympic gold medal winning 100m runner Linford Christie, Westlife star and TV presenter Brian McFadden, Made in Chelsea star Mark-Francis Vandelli, EastEnders star Sid Owen, Superman heartthrob and actor Dean Cain, and TOWIE's Arg.
Davina McCall returns as host of the show, but this year will see a few changes.
For the first time, the celebs will live together for the duration of the competition, staying in the luxury Austrian Mountain Schloss.
The Jump will also air weekly instead of nightly. In each action packed show, Davina will be revealing what's been happening behind the scenes in training as well as dishing up gossip from the celebs' luxury house.
