Take That's Howard Donald has become a father again.

The singer-songwriter announced the birth of his baby son on Friday morning (15 January), poignantly revealing he'd named the tot after the legendary David Bowie, who passed away this week.

Baby Bowie was born two days after David's death.

Howard shared his baby joy via Twitter, saying: "Bowie Taylan Donald came into this world on Tues 12th Jan. Mummy and daddy suffering sleep deprivation but life is wonder. He is divine."

Thousands of fans were quick to like Howard's post and send their well wishes to him and wife Katie on their new arrival, with many applauding the choice of baby name.

Howard and Katie announced the pregnancy back in August, with Howard saying: "I have some amazing news to share with you all. Katie and I are having a baby! So proud of my beautiful wife and can't wait for the newest member of our family to arrive. Thank you for all your wonderful messages. The baby is due early Jan. Boy or girl? Guesses on a postcard please."

It's his first child with Katie, whom he married last year.

He also has two daughters, Grace and Lola, from a previous relationship.

Congrats to Howard and Katie!
