Although model Sam hasn't directly addressed Stephanie's friendship with Jeremy, he announced via Twitter last night that he'd withdrawn his support from Steph in the house, leading many to wonder if the Hollyoaks actress had just been publicly dumped.
A source told The Mirror: "He really loves Steph. It has been so difficult for him watching what has been edited on the show. It's really hard. I've never known Sam to feel this way or be this serious about any girl, so I really hope they can sort things out."
The insider also claimed Stephanie and Sam had moved in together shortly before she entered the CBB house earlier this month.
Sam's only comment so far has been his tweet from last night in which he said: "Hi everyone, I will no longer be supporting Stephanie Davis... Thanks for all your support and love you have given me!!"
Viewers saw Stephanie break down in tears on last night's episode as she declared her love for Sam and fears about upsetting him with her friendship with Jeremy.
She said: "I want Sam. I love him so much, I just want to see him. I don't want to do anything that ruins the one thing that makes me happy. I don't want him to be mugged off on the other side as I know Jeremy likes me. But he's my best friend in here and we have a laugh and cause mischief. But I'm devastated at thinking Sam is sad."
Jeremy, however, has said he feels like Stephanie is more than a friend to him.
"I don't want to look like a little homewrecker and I know she doesn't want to do anything. She's a gorgeous girl, she's sound, she's genuine and we have a laugh. And a bit of a flirt. Of course I flirt with the girl, it would be unnatural if I didn't and I'd be lying if I said I didn't find her attractive.
"It's more than friends, it's obvious."
