Are they? Aren't they? Mel B has given further hints that there's a Spice Girls reunion on the horizon!

During an interview on This Morning, host Ruth Langsford asked the question we all want to know, whether Mel would consider a Spice Girls reunion for the 20th anniversary of their debut single, 'Wannabe'.

This Morning guest Davina McCall proved she's one of us when it comes to fangirling over the nineties pop sensations, and interrupted the interview shouting to Mel: "Come on, I want you back so bad!"

Although Davina's support alone should be reason enough to spur Sporty, Baby, Posh, Scary and Ginger Spice back into action, Mel's response didn't confirm or deny the plans.

Mel replied, "Ahhh…. I mean, I would love it. I think it would be a shame not to do something to celebrate our 20th anniversary, but nothing has been announced. Hopefully something will happen. Just watch this space!"

Well, that's better than an outright no.

Rumours have been doing the rounds for months now, and Mel B is leading the way when it comes to stirring up excitement. Speaking on Alan Carr's New Year's Specstacular a couple of weeks ago, the singer announced: "To be serious, it is our 20th anniversary this year and it would be rude not to celebrate so hopefully something will happen pretty soon."

When Alan pressed Mel for further information, she simply said: "I can't tell you what it is yet!" Face-palm.

However, before that, reports claimed the reunion wasn't due to be going ahead as Victoria Beckham wanted to concentrate on her fashion work instead. And while the other four girls initially planned to go ahead without Posh, it then emerged that Mel C apparently refused to participate unless all five of them were involved. Oh the drama.

Back in August, Emma Bunton also shot down the chance of the 'Spice Up Your Life' singers getting back together, explaining: "If anything happens and it's concrete, and we decide on something, I will let you know, but nothing's happening at the moment."

BUT just to totally confuse us, Geri Halliwell spoke out in September on This Morning and told Phillip Schofield that there had been discussions: "I can say there have been talks. There you go. There are talks. I think that is fair and honest."

So there's that. Mel B has officially made us excited once again about the Spice Girls reunion, but until we get some sort of official announcement, this could all be false hope! Victoria hasn't said anything so far - fancy shedding some light on the issue, Vicks?!
