The Jump host Davina McCall confirmed he would be taking part after appearing on The One Show on Thursday evening (7 January).
Now 49-year-old Dean, who is famously known for playing Superman in 90s TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, will soon be attempting to master winter sports like skeleton, bobsleigh and speed skating.
Obviously a natural question to ask is, will Dean fly?! Well, we can dream, right?
Davina said: "I love it, I can't believe there are people who still want to do it, when we consistently break celebrities," while jokingly referencing previous celeb injuries on the show.
She added: "It's gonna be really exciting this year 'cos we're doing a lot more live competitions, at [a temperature of] -18."
The new series of the Channel 4 winter sports show kicks off later this month and there's loads of celebs taking part including TOWIE's James 'Arg' Argent, former Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding, Made In Chelsea's Mark-Francis Vandelli, Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle, Westlife star Brian McFadden and Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington.
