Kanye West gets the golden ticket following American Idol audition
We've seen the pics, but we haven't actually seen Kanye's audition... until now!
With wife Kim Kardashian by his side, the pair crashed the American Idol auditions in San Francisco where 38-year-old rapper Kanye was treated like any other contestant.
Surprising judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr., the famed producer and recording artist stood on the spot and performed his hit, and he was almost instantly given the sought-after golden ticket.
Kanye was pretty happy and began jumping around in the room having found out he was going through to the next stage.
Can Kanye audition for American Idol everyday?
Sadly, the long-running US talent show is coming to an end for good after a 13-year run. Sob!
At its peak, American Idol drew in an audience of more than 30 million viewers per episode. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the show was launched by original judges Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell, and has made stars out of the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks, Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson.
But there's some good news? The last ever series will air in the UK on 4Music.
From 11 January, series 15 of American Idol will begin with a special two-night event for its farewell season, which promises explosive audition dramas and big performances that will blow the judges away.
American Idol - Monday 11 January at 8pm on 4Music.
