TOWIE star Kate Wright has vowed that she and Dan Edgar won't fall victim to the show's love curse as they've already faced trials in their romance and emerged in a better place.
Kate and Dan were together four years before he landed a role on the programme and they split. He went on to flirt up a storm with Jess Wright and Lauren Pope before Kate joined the show earlier this year and old feelings resurfaced.
They're now back together and happier than ever.
Kate, 24, told Daily Star: "I feel like I had the curse of TOWIE at the beginning because Dan dumped me to go on the show. Now at the moment I feel him dumping me and us getting back together has done wonders for our relationship. We're less selfish and more understanding towards each other. We appreciate each other more. So the curse isn't working on me so far."
She added: "I don't want to jinx things but I do think he's had a bit of a turnaround recently. I think he's grown up a bit now."
Kate joined the TOWIE cast last series as Dan's ex-girlfriend. She memorably slammed him in her first episode, accusing him of dumping her out of the blue and moving on to pursue Jess.
Dan, however, was eager to get Kate back, even when she told him: "You downplayed the whole thing like we were never a serious thing and you got with someone else publicly after four days. I don't trust you. How can I trust you not to do what you did to me again?"
In the end, he won her over with his Top Gun serenade and a trip down memory lane in which he reminded her of all the good times they had together.
