Anyone else a tad disappointed?

Earlier today, it was reported Scarlett had been tipped the hot favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother, beating the likes of Megan McKenna and TOWIE's Gemma Collins.

And while her name cropping up had us all oh-so-excited to be seeing more of Scarlett on our screens, the reality star was quick to take to Twitter and deny she was taking part - even if it did make her day to hear she would have been likely to be the winner.

Scarlett tweeted: "Mint Craic & very flattered Im some of the bookies favourites for winning CBB but I'm not going in the house. Im back on Gogglebox in Feb :)."

She added: "The fact my odds if I was in the CBB house would have been 7/2 of winning has made my bloody day!! :)."

Proving her loyalties lie with Gogglebox, Scarlett confirmed she would be appearing in the reality show's new series next month.

If she had taken part in CBB, it would have been unlikely that she could continue with Gogglebox, as her former co-star George Gilbey had to quit the show when he decided to take part in CBB back in 2014.

At the time he revealed he had to give up his place on Gogglebox for his new celebrity status, as show bosses told him the show was based around ordinary people watching TV.

Ex-Gogglebox star George Gilbey joined MIC's Stephanie Pratt on CBB back in August 2014.

With Scarlett confirming she won't be entering the house tomorrow night (5 January) when the new series of CBB launches, she has paved the way for her fellow Geordie Scott Timlin to take the crown.

Geordie Shore star Scotty T has been heavily rumoured to appear on CBB and has been hotly tipped to win, just like his co-star Charlotte Crosby did so.

Other celebrities set to live under Big Brother's rule include former ex-Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis, Strictly star Kristina Rihanoff and former I'm A Celebrity star David Gest.

Kim Kardashian appeared to confirm her BFF Jonathan is taking part in a now deleted tweet, and EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook seemed to confirm her place on CBB by handing over her Twitter to Harry Derbidge earlier today.

Eek! We can't wait to actually see who makes it through those doors...

Celebrity Big Brother returns Tuesday 5 January at 9pm on Channel 5.
