For a while now, it's been rumoured that our favourite girl group will be getting back together next year to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut single, Wannabe (which makes us feel seriously old!)
However, the latest reports claimed the reunion wasn't due to be going ahead as Victoria Beckham wanted to concentrate on her fashion work instead. And while the other four girls initially planned to go ahead without Posh, it then emerged Mel C refused to participate unless all five of them were involved.
But it seems like one way or another, it's all been sorted out, as Mel B has pretty much confirmed that a reunion is still very much on the cards.
Speaking on Alan Carr's New Year's Specstacular, the singer announced: "To be serious, it is our twentieth anniversary this year and it would be rude not to celebrate so hopefully something will happen pretty soon."
When Alan pressed Mel for further information, she simply said: "I can't tell you what it is yet!"
Either way, this all sounds rather exciting, right?
Back in August, Emma Bunton shot down the chance of the fivesome getting back together, explaining: "If anything happens and it's concrete, and we decide on something, I will let you know, but nothing's happening at the moment."
Confusing us even more, Geri Halliwell spoke out in September on This Morning and told Phillip Schofield that there had been discussions. The 'Mama' singer revealed: "I can say there have been talks. There you go. There are talks. I think that is fair and honest."
And with Mel B practically confirming our hopes, it already looks like 2016 is going to be a year for girl power! Now, where did we put that Union Jack dress?
