On Saturday (19 December), Mark went to support his younger brother Josh Wright play football for Gillingham FC, but was left upset after Josh was targeted by Milwall fans during the game.
Mark revealed Millwall supporters had referenced his Nanny Pat in their chants, slamming them for stooping so low.
Taking to Twitter, Mark hit out at the taunts, branding them as "disgusting". He had been watching the game with his dad, Mark Wright senior, and reports revealed fans were asking Josh during the game how his grandmother was.
Choosing to rise above it, though, Mark praised Josh for not letting the chants get to him.
In a series of tweets, he said: "Football is football and hating on the opposing players is all part of it. The few fans chanting disgusting stuff RE our Nan is so low. But...
"The thousands of @TheGillsFC fans singing THERES ONLY 1 JOSH WRIGHT at 3-0 up puts a smile right back on our faces #upthegills #properfans."

He also replied to a Millwall fan who slammed his fellow supporters for their actions. The user had tweeted: "I'm Millwall, but theres a line and what some people said to @Joshwright4 is f****** disgusting! Should be ashamed #millwall #gills."
Mark replied: "Good tweet. You are a real person. Not like the few few low lives that ruined it for the rest."
He and Josh also received support from Gillingham FC's manager, Justin Edinburgh, who said following the match: "What they did was absolutely disgusting & I would be embarrassed if they were friends or family of mine."
And, not surprisingly, Josh has been flooded with support from fans too.
Mark's tweets come just days after it was confirmed Nanny Pat (real name Patricia Brooker) had died.
The beloved TOWIE star passed away following a short illness, with the Wright and Brooker families releasing a statement to confirm the sudden and sad news on 16 December.
It read: "Sadly our amazing, courageous and beautiful Nanny Pat passed away this morning after a short illness. We are overwhelmed by sadness, and the whole family ask for privacy at this horrible time."
Following the news, Nanny Pat's TOWIE co-stars led tributes to her on social media, with Mark later admitting he was "heart broken" to his followers.
He tweeted: "My heart is broken but so overwhelmed by your support. To know good ole Nanny was loved by so many is the best feeling in the world Thank you."
Jessica Wright, Mark's sister, also shared her heartbreak with fans, while his mother Carol paid a touching tribute to her mum, Nanny Pat.
She tweeted: "So sad to see mummy leave us. She was an amazing, kind, loving person who cared for everyone. She was my best friend."
