We've been rooting for the pair since they improvised their first date in the jungle and when George revealed he and Ferne had snogged since touching down back home, it's safe to say we all get pretty excited.
However, TOWIE favourite Ferne may have just burst our bubble, playing down their kiss as just a Christmas peck. Boo.
Opening up about locking lips with George on ITV's Loose Women, Ferne said: "There were no tongues. It was more of a Christmas peck."
"We have seen each other since we've been back," she added. "It's funny you spend so much time with people in [the jungle] that when I got back I had serious separation anxiety from him and I just wanted to see him and Vicky."
Insisting there is nothing more to their friendship, though, Ferne admitted: "I'm going to be honest, I look at him as my friend. I have a lot of love for him and there was an attraction there... I think he'd probably say the same. I love him as a friend."
"Everyone is always looking for that romance.," She continued. "Me and George there was a bit of 'flanter' going on. Of course, there was he's a very gorgeous guy, he's easy on the eye."
And clearly not giving up on the thought of the two getting together just yet, the Loose Women panel arranged a cheeky surprise for Ferne... George and plenty of mistletoe!
Ferne's comments on the panel show come after George had said the pair are taking things slow.
He compared himself and Ferne to Caroline Flack and Olly Murs, admitting he wasn't sure if their relationship was more best friends with plenty of chemistry or actually something more.
George said: "We have a really unique relationship... I'm not sure if it's a Caroline and Olly sort of relationship and the secret to their success is they've never slept together."
He revealed that he and Ferne are hoping to work together in the future and explained they wouldn't want any romance to get in the way of their work.
"If [we] did want a career together presenting or anything," he added. "We just want to make sure we don't rush into anything that could spoil that."
Ferne may be one step ahead of him though as it was revealed earlier today she has interviewed for a radio presenting job on Capital FM.
Ferne is in the running to replace Lisa Snowdon on the breakfast show with Dave Berry.
