X Factor host Olly Murs has said he would definitely return to hosting the show next year if he was asked.

Olly and BFF Caroline Flack have just wrapped up presenting the 12th series of the ITV talent show - their first series since taking over from Dermot O'Leary.

Speaking on ITV's This Morning, Olly said: "Caroline is such an experienced presenter so it was great to have Caroline with me but it was a rollercoaster - but a rollercoaster of a lot of fun.

"Would I do it again? One hundred percent. I love the show. I wouldn't be sat here if it wasn't for the show so I want it to be successful, I want it to do well."

Olly then joked that maybe he would only be contracted to one day.

"[Maybe] my contract will say I'll do Saturdays but I won't do Sundays incase I make more mistakes! I just won't do deadlock!"

Olly was the talk of social media last month when he accidentally told Monica Michael she was going home before reading out the results from the public vote.

Speaking about that moment, he said: "What annoyed me afterwards was people saying 'Olly knew that she was leaving and that it was a fix' and you couldn't be further from the truth because for me, as an ex contestant, if I found out that it was a fix - I'd walk. I'd be devastated if I found out it was a fix… so that really hurt me more than anything."
