I'm A Celeb star Ferne McCann is reportedly in the running to replace Lisa Snowdon on Capital FM's Breakfast Show.

Lisa, who currently presents the morning radio show alongside Dave Berry, is leaving Capital at the end of the month after working for the station for seven years.

Her departure means a spot has opened up for a new female presenter and according to reports, Ferne is going head to head with Made In Chelsea star Lucy Watson for the gig.

A source told The Mirror: "Ferne's stint in the jungle has made her a hot favourite for it. She's got the gift for the gab - she proved in the jungle she has great chat."

"She's also young and loves a party so will have plenty of on air gossip," the added. "Though the 4am starts could hinder that..."

It's said Ferne, Lucy and Lilah Parsons have all auditioned for the job, with radio bosses close to making their decision on who has made a cut.

Ferne and Dave Berry? We hope George Shelley doesn't get too jealous...

In the jungle, he and Ferne struck up a close friendship and have since revealed romance is blossoming between the pair. While the couple insist they are "taking things slow", George revealed he and Ferne have kissed and he's excited to spend more time with her.

The Union J star is also hoping he'll get to work with Ferne too and had lined them up for a radio or presenting gig. After they entertained campmates with their impromptu radio show in the jungle, George said he and Ferne have talked about working together in reality.

"Me and Ferne have similar aspirations," George explained. "We both want to present and we would work really well together I think..."

However, if they do work together, George is conscious their romance could hinder their relationship, comparing himself and Ferne to Caroline Flack and Olly Murs, he said: "We have a really unique relationship... I'm not sure if it's a Caroline and Olly sort of relationship and the secret to their success is they've never slept together."

"If [we] did want a career together presenting or anything," he added. "We just want to make sure we don't rush into anything that could spoil that."
