Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson has said she thinks Charlotte Crosby won't let Gary Beadle hurt her this time round.

Since Geordie Shore first hit our screens back in 2011, fans have been swept up in Gaz and Charlotte's on/off romance which always seems to end in tears. Looking back over the years, Charlotte has admitted she has been "stupidly in love" with Gary, so as expected, many were concerned to see she has now gone back there again.

Marnie, however, has every faith that Char can deal with heartbreak this time round, if Gary does hurt her again.

Opening up on their budding romance, Marnie told The Sun: "I think Charlotte's more in control of her feelings now. She wouldn't let him hurt her."

"Charlotte's quite fiery," she continued. "I don't think she'd put up with any sh*t, especially because everyone is expecting them to f*** up. She's taking a risk, so she would kick off if he ever did something to mug her off and I wouldn't blame her."

Having experienced the pair's history first hand, Marnie revealed she had warned Char that she thinks Gary is "incapable of love", although, she is hoping her co-star will prove her wrong.

"I just hope he's definitely going to behave himself this time," she added. "If they do start something it will go the distance. It depends it he's going to be a good lad, which I do actually believe is impossible for Gary."

Will he surprise us all?

Marnie's comments come after Gaz and Charlotte fuelled speculation they are dating again, after being pictured kissing on Snapchat.

Holly Hagan had caught them locking lips during a night out and in the days that followed, Charlotte and Gary publicly kissed again, continuing to flaunt their rekindled romance.

Their PDA, however, caused a bit of controversy as Gary had only just split with ex-girlfriend Lillie Lexie Gregg and Charlotte had been dating Love Island star Max Morley at the time.

Max branded Charlotte a "mug" for going back to Gary again, leading her to say she was "glad" she kissed her co-star - despite initially feeling guilty about the smooch.

Reports suggested that Lillie was 'disgusted' with Gaz for publicly kissing Charlotte weeks after their split, but she has hit back at such claims, insisting she hasn't made any comment on the Geordie Shore stars.

She recently tweeted: "I have not commented, responded or done any interviews so to clarify... Not my words and not from me! X"
