According to Pete Wicks, romance could still be on the cards for these co-stars.
The last we saw of Nicole and Mike, they were looking pretty cosy as they shared a cupcake at Nanny Pat's 80th birthday party, which marked the show's series finale.
"With Mike and Nicole, I reckon there's still something going to go on there," Pete tells Reveal. "There's unfinished business from Mike."
However, Danielle Armstrong doesn't seem too convinced. "That ship has sailed," she says, "I don't think she'd get with Mike."
Whatever the outcome, Pete says that Nicole and her ex-boyfriend Lewis Bloor are most definitely over for good.
"She's found her brain, so she's realised what a tit he is," Pete adds.
It was a drama-filled series for Mike and Nicole thanks to Mike's long-running feud with Lewis.
At one point, both Lewis and Mike were pursing Nicole, but following the revelation of Mike's kiss with Amy Childs, it left Lewis and Nicole to reunite.
That didn't last long, however, as a confrontation at Nicole's home led Lewis to lose his temper and call his former flame "scum, disrespectful and a b*tch" marking the end of any potential reconciliation.
The Only Way Is Essexmas airs Wednesday 16 December at 10pm on ITVBe.
