Is George Michael being lined up to be a judge on The X Factor?

Well, he could be according to a new report. The Voice currently airs on BBC, but we all know that the show is moving over to ITV in 2017.

Will George be moving to The X Factor?

But now, George is said to be in a tug of war between the two talent shows. Not only do ITV want him as a coach on The Voice, but Simon Cowell is also trying to hire him for X Factor too.

A source told the Daily Star: "It seems a case of 'careless whispers'. ITV love the idea of having George on The Voice but someone has blabbed and now X Factor want him."

Simon told Reveal ahead of the X Factor final that he isn't fussed about The Voice moving to ITV.

Simon is set to introduce more changes for next year's X Factor.

"No, no at all," he said. "It doesn't matter to me whether it's on BBC or ITV. I think in a weird way it will be a little bit more gentlemanly when it's on ITV because I've been on lots of networks where we have two shows on at the same time."

This year's X Factor saw Simon, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw on the panel.

Simon has already announced changes ahead of next year, telling Reveal that the room auditions will return.
