Last night, fans were left shocked (and a little excited) after seeing Charlotte and Gaz kissing in Holly Hagan's recent Snapchat. The pair had been enjoying a night out together and ended up locking lips after a few drinks.
Their smooch was even more surprising, though, as Charlotte was dating Max and had seemed pretty smitten. Now, Max has hit out at his former flame and claimed she and Gaz were attention seeking.
Putting two and two together, Max told The Mirror he thinks Gary and Charlotte purposely kissed on camera because they are jealous of their fellow Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison's jungle success.
The 28-year-old has had everyone talking about her lately, thanks to her witty one-liners and fearlessness throughout her stay in Australia. And, on Sunday night (6 December), viewers watched as Vicky was crowned the winner of I'm A Celeb 2015.
Suggesting Gary and Charlotte wanted to get people talking about them instead, Max claimed: "Vicky just won the jungle, they need a bit more attention so it's the best way to do it."
"Everyone wants Gary and Charlotte back together," he continued. "So [their kiss] captures the eye of the public."
Like us, Max found out about the pair's kiss this morning and admitted, while he hasn't yet seen the video himself, he is still upset about it - especially as he had really liked Charlotte.
Hitting out at the Geordie favourite, Max added: "Gary clicks his fingers and Charlotte comes running back... She's a mug for going along with it. I won't be going back to Charlotte... I'm too proud for that."
Max and Charlotte had been dating for over a month and things had been going "really well" between the pair.
So much so, that Charlotte had publicly gushed on Twitter that she was an "extremely lucky human" to be dating the 22-year-old and Max told Reveal the pair had met each other's families.
"My mum loves her and my dad likes her too," Max told us. "She hasn't met my little brother yet, but he watches Geordie Shore so he's really excited to see her."
At the time we spoke to Max, Gary had asked Charlotte out for a coffee on Twitter and Geordie Shore fans instantly took it that the pair were going on a date. Shrugging off the competition, Max told us he "wasn't bothered" by Gary.
"No [Gary] doesn't bother me," he said. "It is quite hard because everyone does want Gary and Charlotte to be together, but that's out of my hands. I can't do anything about it."
