The actor and musician was filmed in a recording studio in LA earlier this year listening to some of Taylor's tracks from her smash hit album 1989.
TMZ released the video this week.
Jared reacted via Twitter overnight, saying: "The truth is I think @taylorswift13 is amazing + an incredible example of what's possible. If I hurt her or her fans my sincerest apologies."
In the video, award-winning Jared can be heard complimenting Taylor in some parts, comparing tracks to Sia and Charli XCX. It seems that he's listening to her album for inspiration when it comes to future music.
But at the very end, he is heard telling someone off camera: "I mean f**k her, I don't give a f**k about her, it's whatever works best for us.
Plenty of fans, however, were quick to tell Jared he had nothing to apologise for as he clearly complimented Taylor at times. Many felt the comment about "not giving a f**k" simply meant he was more interested in what would work for his band, 30 Seconds To Mars, rather than what worked for Taylor.
Taylor, who is currently on tour in Australia, hasn't said anything about the incident.
