Throughout the time in the jungle, Ferne and George had fans thinking the pair could get together after their amorous displays and continuous 'flanter' - as Ferne liked to call it.
The pair acted out their first date in front of campmates and were often seen cuddling up together, but now Ferne and George have seemed to rule out anything more than friendship.
After finally leaving the jungle in last night's I'm A Celebrity final, George and Ferne opened up about their close relationship on Good Morning Britain.
When asked if anything was going on between them or if the pair had plans to date back home, Ferne reiterated there was nothing going on. She said: "We're just good friends."
Agreeing with his co-star, George explained that it may have looked like more because of the intense environment they were living in.
"We're really close," he said. "It's so weird being in that environment, it's like a pressure cooker... everything becomes heightened. It's just mad, but we've hit it off so well."
Ferne then added: "With these kind of shows, everyone is looking for a romance and as George says it's always heightened and everything becomes exaggerated. We've become so close and hung out a lot together."
George did reveal that he and the TOWIE star were planning on spending some more time together back in London and hinted the pair have plans to work together too.
Still unconvinced that their close friendship won't develop into something more, Piers Morgan then called out the duo for being so touchy feely with each other.
But, Ferne simply joked: "We had to hold hands just to pass the time!"
Ferne and George's appearance on Good Morning Britain comes after viewers watched Vicky Pattison become the new Queen of the jungle.
In the final, Ferne was the first to be voted out, finishing in third place, while George came in second.
Speaking about Vicky's win, Ferne said: "We're both so, so proud of her. I never expected to be in the final, so to be in the final with these two, they were my best, best friends in there... I wasn't bothered about winning."
Vicky, meanwhile, admitted she hadn't expected to win the show.
She told hosts Ant and Dec: "I didn't expect to win but I'm overwhelmed. It was everything and more. It was the best experience. I thoroughly enjoyed it and threw myself into the whole experience and loved it."
