Carol was smiling from ear to ear as Vicky, 28, was crowned Queen of the Jungle after winning over the public with her Australian antics over the past 19 days.
She told Joe Swash on spinoff show Get Me Out Of Here NOW! that she was just thrilled to have her daughter back in her arms. "It's been unbelievable. It's been great to watch her and we are so proud. Every day has been something different. This is the real Vicky.
"It's wonderful [to have her back]. Today we didn't care if she won or not because I just wanted to give her a huge cuddle but I am so pleased!"
Carol had previously told The Mirror that she was enjoying watching Vicky in the jungle as her daughter was showing her true personality, rather than the somewhat feisty Vicky we saw on Geordie Shore and Ex on the Beach.
"My girl is so witty and down to earth and the comments I've seen from everyone watching is that they love that side of her," she said. "I've always been proud of what she has achieved as she's my baby. But some of her shows like Geordie Shore have been very hard to watch and discuss with the family as the show required her to drink lots and be argumentative. It wasn't the real Vicky in Geordie Shore. It was sometimes uncomfortable viewing. I'm A Celebrity is much nicer to watch."
Former Geordie Shore star Vicky won the show over second placed George Shelley from the band Union J, and third placed TOWIE star Ferne McCann.
Congrats to Vicky!
