The Gravity star has revealed she is now mother to three-year-old Laila (pronounced Lila), a girl from Louisiana who was in foster care.

"When I look at Laila, there's no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here," said Sandra. "I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time," she adds.

Hollywood star Sandra said the process started three years ago and that Louis had helped to lead the way. "Louis spearheaded this whole journey," she said, while revealing that Laila and Louis have formed an inseparable bond.

Speaking about welcoming Laila into their family, Sandra added: "I knew she was scared, and all I wanted was for her to know Louis and I weren't going anywhere."

Sandra adopted Louis in 2010 following her best actress win at the Oscars for The Blind Side.
