Fleur East has said there was a "moment of disappointment" when she found out she hadn't won The X Factor last year.

Both of Simon Cowell's acts made it through to the final in 2014 - Ben Haenow and Fleur - with Ben being crowned having received the most public votes during the live finale.

Ahead of her performance at Free Radio Live 2015 in Birmingham at the weekend, Fleur told Adam Wilbourn: "I think it was harder for me mentally just because I knew it wasn't guaranteed for me to get signed even.

"After Ben had won, there was a moment of disappointment and I thought, 'What's gonna happen to me now?' So that wasn't sure for me. And I do put a lot of pressure on myself anyway, so I feel like I'm competing with everyone else in the game now so it's quite tough!"

Luckily for Fleur, Simon decided to sign her to his Syco Music label, and now almost a year on she's back with her catchy debut single 'Sax'.

The upbeat song is the first to be taken from her debut album Love, Sax and Flashbacks, which is set for release on 4 December.

Fleur actually returned to The X Factor earlier this month to perform an incredible and equally energetic performance of 'Sax' which saw her back on the same stage which has now catapulted her to fame.

Simon said her performance had left him "speechless", and he later added via Twitter: "How incredible was that Fleur performance tonight. One of the best I have ever seen."

This year, Fleur is backing Reggie 'N' Bollie to win the series.

"I've watched it avidly from the first episode, because I am an X Factor fan," she told Adam. "I love Reggie 'N' Bollie. They're so much fun, and you can tell they're so grateful to be there in the competition and they'r working really hard.

"They've got something none of the other contestants have, so I'm excited about them! I just said to them, don't focus on the competition and stay true to yourselves, don't try and emulate what anyone else in the competition is doing because they definitely have their own lane. So I just said play to your strengths and have fun."

Reggie 'N' Bollie remain in the competition alongside Louisa Johnson, Che Chesterman and Lauren Murray.
