Nathan Sykes has ruled out ever appearing on reality TV, saying he will just focus on his solo music career.

Nathan, 22, performed at Free Radio Live in Birmingham at the weekend where he was asked about appearing in front of the cameras for a reality show.

As part of boy band The Wanted, Nathan was followed by cameras for a fly-on-the-wall reality show called The Wanted Life in 2013.

The show, which was filmed in America and premiered on E!, focused on the band as they recorded their third album and planned their first world tour.

Speaking to Free Radio's Adam Wilbourn, Nathan said: "You know what? I think I'll just happily leave my friends to do reality TV stuff and I'll just stick to the music. I'm more than happy watching the reality TV from behind the TV screen."

'Over And Over Again' singer Nathan also said that the way we watch TV has changed.

"I'm a big reality TV fan so it is cool to see your mates on there but you kind of watch the shows differently now because you're worried about people so it's a bit strange now," he said.

Nathan was in The Wanted with Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Tom Parker. The group took a hiatus in January 2014 to pursue personal endeavours.
