According to the Sun on Sunday, the Hollyoaks actress didn't end up getting the role of Zac Efron's love interest Summer in the blockbuster film, but did impress producers with her American accent and bubbly personality.
An insider said: "Producers thought she was charming. It's all part of her plan to crack Hollywood… She has lots of other options on the table, including a new show for US channel ABC."
Jorgie found fame as Theresa McQueen in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks but announced in July that she'd quit the soap after seven years in Chester. At the time, sources did say Jorgie hoped to pursue a Hollywood career and had already spent time in LA meeting agents and managers.
Meanwhile, the Baywatch movie is a remake of the classic lifeguard TV series starring Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff. Another British actress, Kelly Brook, has also been linked to the show, reportedly auditioning for Pammie's role of CJ Parker.
Leading man Zac has said: "It's going to be R-rated and it's going to be badass. I think we're going like pretty big with it and I don't think it's going to be much like the old 'Baywatch' to be honest. I think we're going to kind of reinvent it in a big way, and [Dwayne] has big plans for it. I know he's very ambitious."
