The singer's third album has become the fastest-selling number one of all time, selling more than 800,000 copies in its first week of release - the highest EVER figure for a single UK chart week.
Wow, this lady is on FIRE!
The previous record was held by Oasis with their album Be Here Now. That reached number one with sales of 696,000 in 1997.
Adele's latest offering has also become the first album to sell more than 100,000 downloads in a week as it hurtled towards the top of the chart.
Ed Sheeran held the previous record for weekly digital album sales, with 95,709.
Official Charts Company chief executive Martin Talbot said: "The statistics surrounding the album are staggering.
"No album has ever sold 800,000 copies to reach number one in the history of British music."
In fact, no album had sold 100,000 copies in a single week this year compared to Adele's 800,307, which has reached double platinum status already.
That means Adele's 25 sold more than the last 19 number one albums combined. We're speechless!
Twenty-seven-year-old Adele's album has also "done the seemingly impossible" according to Billboard magazine, and sold more than three million in one week in the US.
The album - which came five years after 21 - contains the number one single 'Hello', which became the fastest selling single of 2015.
This week, the London-born singer announced her first tour since 2011.
Adele, who won an Oscar for Skyfall, will be performing across the UK and Europe early next year, with tickets going on sale on 4 December.
