The reality star sparked rumours he could be replacing Spencer Matthews in the jungle after he tweeted that he was off to Australia… but he was actually just appearing on the spinoff show.
Speaking on Get Me Out Of Here NOW last night, the ladies' man said: "I would love it but I think I would be too truthful. I'd argue with Lady C. I would need more girls though. And girls who look fit with no make-up on."
Plenty of fans thought Gaz could be jetting to Oz this week as a late replacement for Made In Chelsea's Spencer, who was forced to withdraw on medical grounds. But host Declan Donnelly later confirmed Spencer would not be replaced.
Spencer has since issued a statement apologising for his jungle departure and revealing: "The simple answer is that I screwed up, and have some explaining to do. Shortly after I arrived in Australia I told the production team that I was taking a steroid-based medication that had begun some weeks ago.
"When I started taking this programme of pills it was in preparation for a charity boxing match which, ironically, never took place. Vanity, I suppose, had been the reason for wanting to bulk up a bit for the fight. I had intended to come off the pills gradually, but there was no time to do this before I reached the jungle.
"My admission to the production team that I was still taking these pills led to the conclusion that it would be unsafe for me to stay in the jungle - a decision which I found extremely hard to stomach. I pushed back but ultimately the show's duty of care prevailed and bags had to be packed."
Meanwhile, Gaz also spoke during his appearance about how his Geordie Shore co-star Vicky Pattison playing a "very safe game" in the jungle, saying he is waiting for her to argue and kick off.
