Steve Irwin's daughter Bindi has won Dancing With The Stars.

The 17-year-old was crowned winner of the US version of Strictly Come Dancing on Tuesday evening (24 November), after impressing both the viewers and judges over the past few weeks.

She was partnered with professional dancer Derek Hough, who is known to many in the UK as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's friend.

Bindi told the crowd: "Thank you so much for everything. I can't believe that I'm here. Thank you for changing my life."

The teenager paid tribute to her late father during finale night, dedicating her final performance to Steve. "I've tried to just remember his strength, knowing that dad is kind of still with me," she said.

Bindi also remembered her dad on Instagram, saying: "Dad, I know you walk beside me always and your strength lives within me. I love you."

Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin died in 2006 at the age of 44 after being struck in the chest by a stingray's barb while diving in Australia.

Backstreet Boy Nick Carter finished runner-up.
