Jamelia has implied that Strictly Come Dancing fixed the competition for Peter Andre to stay in.

Loose Women star Jamelia and dance partner Tristan MacManus was voted off the show at Blackpool Ballroom over the weekend after facing the dance-off with Peter and his partner Janette Manrara.

However, Jamelia made a surprise admission on Strictly's spin-off show, It Takes Two on Monday evening (23 November), when she was asked by Zoe Ball if she had expected to go home.

The mum-of-two then claimed that producers "re-recorded" the crowd reaction to Peter's dance.

"I think we did a great last dance," said Jamelia. "But it wasn't until they re-recorded Pete's standing ovation, I'd say that was the moment we knew we were going home."

Peter, who was actually bottom of the leaderboard with 29 points on the show, received the fewest votes along with Jamelia, who had scored 31 points. After performing in the dance-off, the judges made their decision on the results show.

Craig Revel-Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli all chose to save Peter and Janette. However, when Tess Daley asked head judge Len Goodman if he agreed with his fellow judges, he said: "Funnily enough no I didn't, I thought Jamelia and Tristan did a very, very fine Quickstep and I would have brought you back."

A BBC spokesman has since told the Mirror: "Following Peter's performance in the dance off, for which he received a standing ovation from the audience, continuity shots were taken during a break in filming to reset the dance floor.

"These extra opportunities to capture audience reaction are standard practice in recording TV shows of this nature."
