The singer-songwriter, 27, is currently heading for number one in the charts with her new album '25' and is "overwhelmed" with gratitude.
Taking to Twitter with a heartfelt message of thanks, the 'Hello' singer said: "This feels like such a long time coming, my new album is finally out.
"I am so overwhelmed and grateful to be able to even put another record out, and put it out how I want."
Addressing her 24million Twitter followers, Adele continued: "The last month has been a whirlwind, it's literally taken my breath away.
"I hope you enjoy the record as much as I enjoyed making it for you."
She ended the note: "See you on the other side... love Adele x."
Fans were quick to respond and show their admiration for the London-born singer.
One gushed: "Blasting #Adele25 at work so everyone can hear how beautiful it is!"
Another said: "OMFG THIS ALBUM IS AMAZING I AM SO SO PROUD OF YOU OH MY GOSH."
One fan said she "loved every song on the album", while another called the album "a masterpiece".
Adele is currently in New York where she was pictured meeting fans on Friday (20 November)...
And she was all smiles, despite her third studio album being leaked online just days before its release.
She also disappointed some fans by announcing the album will not be available on streaming services Spotify or Apple Music.
The album is predicted to sell more than one million copies in its first week.
The first single 'Hello' broke download and viewing records when it was released last month.
