X Factor star Lauren Murray has had fans concerned over her performance this weekend, after revealing she is now on voice rest.

Voice rest and The X Factor can go hand-in-hand, as it's not uncommon for the show's hopefuls to wear out their vocal chords. After all, they are singing constantly day and night!

Taking to Twitter, Lauren revealed she is the latest to fall victim to it and has been left unable to speak until Friday...

Sharing a photo of herself with tape across a mouth, Lauren is pictured holding a sign up to the camera. It read: "I am on voice rest, please do not talk to me."

Alongside it, she tweeted: "This is not good not a single word till Friday mateeeeeeeee."

Uh-oh! Unable to speak or sing means Lauren is missing out on crucial rehearsal time to nail her song and performance for this weekend's live show.

And proving she is struggling with keeping quiet, Lauren added: "This not talking stuff is so hard."

Clearly concerned, fans were quick to reply to the starlet's post. One user said: "Hope it comes back Lauren. I want you on my screen till the very end." While another said: "Please get well soon. I'm rooting for you!"

However, it hasn't been all bad for Lauren this week as she saw her rendition of Ariana Grande's 'One Last Time' reach the top ten on iTunes. Congrats!

She dazzled the judges and viewers with her performance of the track on Saturday night, with Simon telling her she "nailed it".

Lauren's revelation she is on voice rest comes after she hit the headlines for moving out of The X Factor house.

Now she has revealed she has left the plush abode, after finding the cameras too much to handle.

She told The Mirror recently: "I found the filming the hardest to deal with. The camera is there when you wake up, it's there when you go to sleep. I felt like I could never relax. It's intense... It's Big Brother meets Glee meets prison."

The X Factor continues Saturday and Sunday 20 - 21 November on ITV.
