This weekend, the remaining nine hopefuls were battling it out, not only to keep their place in the competition, but for a spot on The X Factor's live tour next year. But with only seven places available, both Max Stone and Monica Michael missed out on their chance, after becoming the latest two acts to be eliminated from the competition.
However... this doesn't mean they can now rule out the tour completely, as the judging panel has the power to grant one hopeful a seat on that tour bus. Now there's a twist for you...
Earlier today, The X Factor announced the exciting news on its official site, after confirming which acts have already made it on the lineup.
Che Chesterman, 4th Impact, Mason Noise, Anton Stephans, Louisa Johnson, Lauren Murray and Reggie 'N Bollie will be hitting the road in 2016, but now one familiar face will be joining them.
ITV has now revealed Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Simon Cowell, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw will get together to choose one act that has already been eliminated from the live shows and grant them a spot on the show's tour.
They can pick from Monica, Max, Sean Miley Moore, Kiera Weathers, Alien Uncovered and Bupsi Brown.
So far, it hasn't been revealed when exactly the judges will be making their decision, but fans should definitely watch this space!
X Factor's exciting tour news comes after viewers watched Monica and Max both leave the competition in last night's results show.
Max was the first to be sent home after receiving the fewest public votes, while Monica then followed after losing out to Anton in the sing off.
With the judges' failing to agree on who to give the boot, the vote was brought to deadlock. However, before the public vote was announced, Olly Murs made a live blunder by accidentally revealing Monica was out of the competition, before reading out the actual result.
He has since taken to Twitter to apologise for the confusion, telling fans: "I apologise to everyone tonight I made a massive f%#k up at the end. It was so tense!! I'm still learning & hope that never happens again!"
While he did receive some criticism from fans, Monica has jumped to Olly's defence. She told Reveal: "I think any opportunity for anyone to point their fingers at someone they are going to do it. It's live television, I'd like to see other people get up there and doing it."
"[Olly] has been doing it for like two or three weeks running now," she added. "He hasn't made a huge mistake. That was probably the first one. He's a human, he's not a robot.
"I feel sorry for him, really. He needs to dust himself down and move forward onto next week."
