Earlier this week, I'm A Celebrity revealed the ten celebrities heading into the jungle and while Ferne's name wasn't on the original list, she has been rumoured to make a late arrival to camp, along with Vicky Pattison and Spencer Matthews.
Reveal caught up with Lydia recently and while chatting with the Essex beauty, she seemed to give off the impression her bestie will be joining George Shelley, Jorgie Porter and co. Eek!
Gushing that she thinks Ferne will be just great on I'm A Celeb, Lydia exclusively told us: "I think Ferne will be amazing! I've just come back from Machu Piccu with Ferne, we did a charity trek together and I think our challenge was probably harder than the jungle."
"We had to trek every day for like ten hours in altitude," she explained. "We were having altitude sickness, I was having nosebleeds, we had to camp in the wilderness, it was in-tense. We both lost nearly a stone, it was crazy! But Ferne, she didn't batter an eyelid."
Lydia contiued: "I cried every day, I found it really, really tough, but she didn't find it hard at all. She's such a soldier. She'll be amazing."
As well as being a tough cookie when it comes to the show's not-so-pleasant Bushtucker trials, we reckon Ferne will be a hit for her no-nonsense attitude too. Lauren Pope recently told us she thinks Ferne will make "great TV" thanks to her direct delivery, but Lydia say it's Ferne's fun side that will have her winning us all over.
"She is direct and she is opinionated, so hopefully there is nobody that finds her too overbearing," Lydia told us. "But she is also hilarious. She is so much fun, she's so bubbly, she's so confident."
"I don't think Ferne will be shy of friends either," she added. "She's such an infectious character."
I'm A Celebrity is set to return this weekend and rumour has it that show bosses are hoping to amp up the potential for romance in camp, this time round.
According to reports, the celebrity camp has undergone a new addition of a private area by the creek, perfect for stealing a kiss or a moment away from prying eyes.
An executive producer on the reality show has said: "We've extended the boundaries of camp this year. It's down at the bottom of the creek, a private area for romance and to get away from the others."
Fans are hoping love will blossom for Union J's George and Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter, after he revealed he isn't ruling out a possible jungle romance.
However, others are rooting for Ferne and Spencer, with many thinking the reality duo could strike up quite the bond over in Oz.
We can't wait to see how this all pans out, you?
