Back in June, folllowing Ricky Rayment's proposal, Marnie had shocked fans by announcing she had quit Geordie Shore.

Following rumours that show bosses had dropped her from the show, Marnie took to Twitter in a now-deleted post to explain she had left the show after five series.

At the time, she shared a lengthy message to the social media site, explaining how she had chosen to concentrate on her relationship and put Geordie Shore behind her.

It read: "Being part of Geordie Shore was amazing and one of the best experiences I've ever been given and I will never forget it, but I couldn't continue in the show in a relationship. It wasn't fun to me anymore and I didn't enjoy it.

"Picking between my future was extremely easy, Ricky would always come first. It was hard to say goodbye, but if I hadn't I would have lost Ricky, which I wouldn't have let happen. Staying in Geordie Shore wasn't possible any more. Given a choice on the day of my engagement to say no and continue with Geordie Shore, or say yes and leave it for good, I chose to get engaged to Ricky and say goodbye to the show - a decision I am extremely happy with.

"I would never let the person I love go because of a TV show. I'm so grateful to MTV for the opportunity and journey I got. It was fantastic and I will always remember it as a great time in my life."

Shortly after posting the message, Marnie retracted it and MTV refused to comment on her future on the show, insisting no decisions had been made.

Now, however, Marnie has been pictured partying with her co-stars Aaron Chalmers, Charlotte Crosby and Holly Hagan in Newcastle as they film for Geordie Shore's upcoming series.

Her return to the show comes after Marnie confirmed she and Ricky had split in September. After the pair called off their engagement, the 23-year-old told fans she had come to the end of an "important chapter" in her life and is now "moving forward".

So much so, that when Reveal caught up with Marnie recently she told us she has "lost all emotion" towards her former flame.
