The former Hollyoaks actress, 27, was pictured arriving at Brisbane airport on Saturday (7 November), prompting speculation she was signed up to take part in the ITV1 entertainment show.
Now, she has confirmed she's heading to the jungle.
Speaking to Digital Spy after landing in Oz, she said: "This has all been very quick. I didn't know I was going to do the show until two days ago! I haven't been preparing my jungle body, I've been busy eating burgers."
She added: "Why did I sign up for the jungle? I like challenges. I like doing the unexpected. I try not to do what everyone else is doing... I'm really excited, but I'm scared of spiders."
Jorgie flew in from LA, where she has been holidaying with her Dancing On Ice skating partner Matt Evers.
Last month, Jorgie appeared on C4's Celebrity First Dates where she met personal trainer Craig. Despite initial hopes that she'd found romance, Jorgie later revealed she was still single.
Jorgie, who played Theresa McQueen in C4 soap Hollyoaks, is thought to have replaced Stephanie Davis in the jungle.
Ex-soap star Stephanie was forced to pull out of the show due to medical reasons.
Taking to Twitter, Stephanie told fans she was "absolutely gutted" to miss out on this year's series after discovering she has a severe nut allergy that could have endangered her life in the Aussie outback.
Ex-Premier League footballer Kieron Dyer has also landed in Australia amid rumours he's taking part...
Most Haunted star Yvette Fielding also confirmed she was taking part via Twitter, before quickly deleting it.
I'm A Celebrity will launch on Sunday November 15 at 9pm on ITV1.
