Speculation the pair had fallen out first surfaced when Sam (who is currently pregnant with her first child) wrote about Amy in her autobiography, Secrets and Lies. She had claimed that Amy left TOWIE too soon, before hitting out at her former BFF and claiming fame has changed her.
However, if Amy was upset by Sam's comments she's proved that all has now been forgiven and forgotten, recently insisting that the girls are still friends.
Speaking to The Daily Star, Amy dismissed rumours of a fallout, revealing she and Sam are still talking.
"Sam and I went for dinner a month ago," she told the paper. Amy added that the girls did address what Sam had written about her, but reiterated the quotes haven't impacted their friendship.
"We did speak about that," Amy said. "But we haven't fallen out."
Glad to hear it!
Way back when TOWIE first graced our screens in 2010, Amy and Sam had appeared on the show as best friends. The girls had a close bond along with Amy's cousin, Harry Derbidge, but after Amy left the show a year later, she and Sam hadn't seemed as close.
Reflecting on her short time on TOWIE, Amy added: "I don't think I left too soon and I certainly don't regret it. I don't think I would have achieved everything I have if I had stayed on TOWIE."
While she doesn't regret leaving after just a year, many fans of The Only Way Is Essex are itching to see Amy back on their screens.
Her name was recently mentioned on the show, after it came to light Amy had kissed newcomer Michael Hassini at his James Bond birthday bash.
Hearing her name had many fans speculating whether Amy could be making a comeback, with many being all for her return. Even if it is just brief!
One user tweeted: "Just a cameo would be amazing! #bringherback #shutup." While another said: "Come on @MissAmyChilds make a come back #TOWIE"
We would SO love to see that happen, you?
