Yep, the very same Craig who boldly claimed that Pete had "a very good chance of getting to the final" just a few weeks ago, has totally changed his tune!
According to The Mirror, Craig has warned Pete needs to up his game, saying: "Sorry to say it but Peter's becoming a bit of an also-ran in the competition."
"Technically, he's very good but he needs to stand out from the crowd more."
Craig, 50, added: "I'd be worried if I were him. He's missing the 'It' factor – and I want to see him fly not fail."
It all started off well for Peter and his professional dance partner Janette Manrara, when they kicked off the competition by topping the leader-board, and Craig even gushed about Pete's prowess on the dance-floor.
However the pairs last performance on Saturday wasn't such a hit with the judges and Pete's rumba only earned him 29 points.
It's not all bad though, Strictly is renowned for being a roller-coaster ride for its competitors, and we reckon Pete will pull it back no problem!
Not only has the 42-year-old been hotly tipped as favourite even before the show started, but his ex-wife Katie Price also thinks the Strictly crown is well within reach, having recently admitted: "I think Peter will be brilliant because he's a great dancer and he'll want everyone to see that. I'd tell anyone to put a bet on him because I think he's going to win it."
Reckon Craig is right? Wonder what Peter will surprise us with on this weeks show...
