Sam Bailey has slammed X Factor contestant Nicola 'Bupsi' Brown, saying she "cringed" during her Judges' Houses performance.

The weekend saw all contestants fight for a place at the live shows by singing at Judges' Houses. Bupsi, who is in the Overs category, performed in front of Simon Cowell and his special guest, One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson.

Performing a rendition of Ginuwine's hit 'Pony', Bupsi did enough to get through to the next stage, as Simon announced during the live results show that she had earned a spot in the final 12.

However, it seems like 2013 winner Sam wasn't too impressed with the audition.

"Bupsi? Don't get me started – I cringed all the way through her audition," said Sam in her blog for Ladbrokes. "I was shouting at the TV when they put her through. I don't like her at all.

"I think Louis Tomlinson looked so uncomfortable when she was singing. He looked like he wanted to laugh. I felt awkward for him watching from home. A very strange audition and a bad choice to put her through."

Sam won The X Factor in 2013.

Sam also said how Reggie 'N' Bollie "do diddly-squat for me", adding: "I can't take them seriously."

One person who Sam is backing all the way is Essex singer Che Chesterman.

"He is my absolute favourite," she said. "I love him and could listen to him all day. His voice is like melted chocolate. He's just incredible and is my tip to win."
